Pete, along with Grace's brother Ryal, owned this store and among other things they were an employment service finding laborers for folks who needed them and of course charging a fee...maybe the guys are a couple of clients.
You can click on the picture to see the full-sized version. The sign in the window references Monday, July 5th, and that would make it either 1909 or 1915. We're guessing that the tall girl is Ione and the shorter one a friend or perhaps one of Ryal's girls.
